<< previous | indie music saves | next>>
This is an ad I did for the Pabst Theater that ran as a full page in a local weekly newspaper. The premise was to showcase our previous indie shows and highlight some of our upcoming shows. My only direction was to use "Indie Music Saves Wall Street's Ass!" as the headline, and a deadline of just a couple hours before it had to be to press.
At the time this article ran, September 2008, America was in the midst of a financial collapse and a presidential campaign. I played off of these themes and was able to incorporate them all by making use of the atrocious design aesthetics employed by tabloids.
There is a lot going on in this ad and relied heavily on current events for the ad to work effectively. The tight deadline and free reign made this project particularly exhilirating and I had a lot of fun with it.
